A 30 min movie named "One Idiot" will be broadcasted on CNN-IBM 27th Feb at 5PM and 6th March at 4pm

The movie one idiot that i watched around 3-4 years back and again watched today on you tube ..
This movie inspired me a lot about understanding the value and definition of money in real terms..

This movie will be again telecasted on CNN-IBN coming Saturday, 27th February at 5pm.
If you miss to watch then also you can watch again on Sunday, 6th March at 4pm in the same CNN-IBN.

We are today living in a consumerism world where everybody will tell you to how to spend your money. How to split money than SIP (Systematic Investment Plan)

Below line Muthu told in his blog for this movie i am just extracting .. i loved these lines personally

"
We pointlessly give too much attention to consumerism. We spend needlessly to look more affluent than we are. If we are caught saving we are somehow not part of the ‘in’ crowd. My film is a morality tale based on the 5,000-year old principle of ‘jitni chaadar utni pair phelana’ (stretch your legs only as much as the blanket allows). Somewhere we squander money for the sake of being trendy.
It’s a film on the theme of financial management. When we are young, we know nothing about how to manage our money, and when we see people who are careful with their money, we laugh at them.”
It is not a documentary film. I found it humorous and interesting. Even there are songs! For a 30 minute film, it has enough substance and conveys well the importance of saving, investing, not being a hard core worshipper of consumption, not having debt, asset allocation, couple of Warren Buffett sayings, how people who look rich need not be rich etc. I enjoyed the movie.

This movies is an initiative from IDFC foundation for awareness..

The Monkey , Goat and Stock Story :)

So there was this village where one day a man appeared and said that he wanted to buy monkeys. He said that he would pay a hundred rupees per monkey. The villagers caught all the monkeys in the neighborhood and sold them to him for a hundred rupees each. Soon another man appeared and said that he would pay two hundred rupees for each monkey. But there weren't any more monkeys around. They were all owned by the first man. So the villagers went to him and said that they were willing to take the monkeys back and return his money. But the monkey owner was unwilling to sell. The villagers raised the offer price to Rs 150 per monkey, then Rs 175 and finally to Rs 199 but the man just didn't want to sell, even though he clearly didn't have any use for the monkeys. Eventually, just to see whether he would sell, they offered him Rs 200 but he still refused. The villagers were puzzled by this. Finally, one of them figured out that there must be someone else who was going to...
